Diamond League Athletics – London

I’d booked myself a ticket to the Diamond League Athletics at the London Stadium without knowing too much about it. I’ve been to the athletics a few times and have always enjoyed it. A little about the Diamond League – it’s an all round competition with some of the biggest and best talents in athletics. Here’s the schedule for this year –

  • Women’s 400m Hurdles

The men’s 200 Metres featured 2 of the most exciting 100 Metre runners – Noah Lyles- USA and Charnel Hughes – GB. Lyles won the race in 19.47 and Hughes came 3rd with a British record of 19.73

As I have before I found watching all that was going on hard at times and can only presume that fans of a particular field event knew where to sit for the best view. It really did feel that those taking part were ignored at times.

Katarina Johnson-Thompson – GB

The Long Jump was won by Quanesha Burks – USA with a jump of 6.98
