Game 6 – Karachi Kings v Quetta Gladiators
Karachi – 156 for 9
Quetta 157 for 5
This game saw some ascendancy for the bowlers; with Naseem Shah bowling his 4 overs for just 23 runs, Sohail Khan 24 and Hasnain took 3 for 33 in from his 4 overs. That restricted Karachi to 156.
Quetta scored the runs to win with an over to spare, Imad was the best of the Karachi bowlers with just 20 from his 4 overs.
Game 7 – Lahore Qalanders v Islamabad Utd
Lahore – 182 for 6
Islamabad – 183 for 9
This one went down to the wire, Hafeez played a superb innings in a losing cause scoring 98 from 57 balls. His young bowling colleague Shaheen Afridi did his best to take his team to the line, taking 4 for 18 in his 4 overs.
But a captain’s innings from Shadab of 52 from 29 balls and some gritty lower order batting saw Islamabad win with one ball to spare.
In spite of being on the losing side, I have 2 Star Men today with the first being Mohammad Hafeez with his 98 from 57 balls and the second Shaheen Afridi with 4 for 18
