This one went down to the wire, Hafeez played a superb innings in a losing cause scoring 98 from 57 balls. His young bowling colleague Shaheen Afridi did his best to take his team to the line, taking 4 for 18 in his 4 overs.

But a captain’s innings from Shadab of 52 from 29 balls and some gritty lower order batting saw Islamabad win with one ball to spare.

In spite of being on the losing side, I have 2 Star Men today with the first being Mohammad Hafeez with his 98 from 57 balls and the second Shaheen Afridi with 4 for 18
