Jason Roy fired at the top of the order for Quetta, his 50 taking his tally so far to 140 runs at an average of 46.66, he’s enjoying playing in Pakistan! However Ben Cutting played the innings of the game with 42 from 17 balls, including two 4’s and 4 sixes. his innings was the one that won his team the game.

Ben Cutting is therefore the Star Man for this game.

Karachi – 134 All Out

  • Chris Jordan – 7 from 7
  • Umaid Asif – 20 from 11
  • Usman Khan – 3 from 5
  • Mohammad Amir – NO 2 from 2

I was watching this one from afar while at work and it didn’t make for happy stuff as a Karachi fan. However I was happy to see Moeen excelling at the top of the order for Multan, I’m a big fan. He hit four 4’s and four 6’s in his 65. Shan Massood contributed 61 from the same number of balls as Moeen, he also hit eight boundaries but the split was different, with seven 4’s and one 6. 186 for 6 was a great return.

Karachi’s reply was a poor one, they were bowled out in 17 overs. Alex Hales top scored, but that was just with 29. They fell short by 52 runs.

Moeen Ali takes my Star Man spot for this match

  • Moahammad Hafeez – 1 from 3
  • Dane Vilas – 2 from 5

  • David Wiese – 9 from 7
  • Shaheen Afridi – NO 0
  • Salman Irshad – 2 from 4
  • Dilbar Hussain – DNB
  • Maaz Khan – DNB

A game shortened by the weather to 12 overs apiece, that provided something quite explosive! 21 year old Englishman Tom Banton fired for the first time in this PSL scoring 34 from 15 balls, but 19 Year old Haider Ali a bright Pakistan star outshone him with 34 from 12. Both innings were great to watch!

Lahore had the man at the top of the order who could get the runs to win this game, Australian Chris Lynn can be a phenomenal batsman, and he hit 30 from 15, but, was foiled by A ball from Lewis Gregory. Gregory took 4 for 25 in his 3 overs and was instrumental in restricting Lahore.

Both Lewis Gregory and Tom Banton deserve a mention, but my Star Man for this match has to be Haider Ali.
