In line with Event 122 this is going to be short and sweet! I had a morning at work before I made my way to the County Ground, I’d left my membership card at home but had been invited to the Chelmsford Business Network Event by Chris Hughes of Kingston Smith and Andrew Lewis of Sanlam.
This event brings together like minded business people from the Chelmsford area for discussion, afternoon tea and a spot of cricket.
The idea is to introduce people from different walks of business to each other in order to encourage co-operation and interaction between local businesses. There is a clear passion amongst those arranging the event to build the group – there is also a huge passion for sport! And in this case cricket!
I was able to watch some of the cricket and take a few photos as you can see. Several of the players came across after the close of play. Jack Mickleburgh had been able to join the group along with of of his 2nd team colleagues – ridiculously I can’t find his name on the ECC website!
Tom Westley, Nick Browne and Ryan ten Doeschate came over and I suspect made a few people’s afternoons (including mine if I’m honest)
It was great to be able to watch a couple of hours cricket before bad light stopped play.
